An Old Ring Remounted Into Something New

This is a recent remounting job. Our customer brought in an older 4 diamond ring that had been worn hard for many years. She was curious what it would cost to be refurbished and what it might cost to make a new ring with her diamonds. She decided on a change so we made a wax model of the new ring. After approving the new design we took her old ring apart. We would be using the diamonds and the yellow gold to make her new ring. We then cast the new ring using her gold and adding some of our gold to make sure there was enough gold to complete the project. We then polished the new mounting and set her diamonds into the new ring! Goldsmith Tim Thompson took the old ring apart and completed the new ring.
