Diamond Leaf Pendant

Our customers went on a trip to Jamaica this winter. They brought back pictures of some palm leaves they really love. I made a wax model of a leaf and showed it to my customers. They liked it but, the husband wanted it a little larger. They supplied the gold which included her engagement ring mounting. We melted the gold into the leaf and then had to consider the bail. The husband wanted a diamond at the base of the leaf and then the bail so a chain could go through. I showed them what that might look like and also designed a bail that would hold small diamonds and act as a bail and the stem. The wife liked the stem/diamond bail and the husband liked the larger diamond with a bail. They discussed the look and he decided that if the bail could be 2 diamonds longer that would make both of them happy. A great way to use old gold and make a unique keepsake!
